Got to finish the Mark Maron comedy show last night. He ended by going almost 100% Bill Hicks.
I'm not entirely disappointed.

Started watching Mark Maron's new comedy special on Netflix.
Recommended if you like stand-up comedy with an intellectual edge.

I got a jury summons to tell me to ignore my jury summons.
Efficient.

FYI, if you're looking for Limbus to induct you when you reach level 20, don't hold your breath on that one. My average time spent here daily is less than 2 minutes.

I love how everyone is posting to remind us that in our shutdown, everyone is turning to the arts for stability, sanity, and to pass the time.
All of my incredibly talented artistic friends are creating content to provide new ideas, valuable services, and raise money.
And I know, when this is all over, the general public will go right back to expecting artists to create, and provide for free, and treat them like their work doesn't matter, and the arts are no way of making a living. Because, why would we learn from our experiences?

Republicans I know are still bitching about Cuomo.
They must seriously hate true leadership, and transparency in politics.

I go out of my way to take care of someone else's mistakes, and they still take all the credit for what was accomplished.
So typical. Some things will simply never change.

It is recommended by the state that you only shop for essentials once a week.
But people are still out there buying 3 months worth of essentials every time they go to the store.... calm your tits, you don't need 180 rolls of toilet paper to get though a couple months. If you do, you're either the Dugars, or you have bigger problems than the shutdown.

The funniest part of that friendship honestly was the fact she held it against me that I found attractive women attractive, but claimed I only liked a specific type of woman, while maintaining she was much more open in her physical tastes in men, but shunned almost every man for even the tiniest of physical flaws that she perceived.
It was like the friend I invited into my home when she was facing homelessness, who then lectured me about how all men suck because no one likes a larger girl.
Literally living in my house.
Just a little past reflection on life....

5 days in, and already finished giving an old dresser a new, Harry Potter themed look.
I wish I was told to just stay home more often....

My blog is going to turn into a journal of "days under quarantine" now that NYS is turning closer to complete shutdown.

If you haven't done so yet, I would recommend reading Mark Manson's "Everything Is F*cked"
Especially the section on his parallel universe of Isaac Netwon's "Laws of Emotion." Emo Newton's Laws of Emotion don't differ in concept far from Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion, however, they deal more with how humans process their world, and the things that cause them to respond how they do, and believe what they believe.
It's a good layman's view on human psychology, theology, and psychology.

Still chasing down people to pay what they owe me.
Something that will only end when I do.

A COVID-19 quarantine will definitely show us one thing - how much remodeling we can accomplish out of a lack of anything else to do.

the other side of that is - when I'm doing BGE work and we have time to wait, I like to read. When I'm reading I don't like to be disturbed. Reading keeps me alert and ready for when the AD or PA calls someone to set.
But I spent the weekend with people who wouldn't stop talking, laughing loudly and obnoxiously, and who kept having to make comments about the fact that I was reading. Because somehow that's an oddity?
The one was also obviously infatuated with one of the primary actresses, and he wouldn't stop making inappropriate comments about her physique, or playing on like he was in pain and/or reaching ecstasy when she was nearby. This from a man bragging about his "25 years of experience" in Hollywood, and is older than I am. He acted like an immature middle-school boy.
Annoying, and so very unprofessional.

As I suspected, the other parts of the writing team provided nothing but still managed to take the entire story off path.
When the boss listens to every idea, and tries to implement them all without understand what is needed to keep the project on task, you end up with no progress.

Two hour writing meeting again this afternoon.
I wonder if we're actually accomplish anything or make any kind of progress....
I wrote the first 2 episode synopses and 3 character profiles after our first meeting last weekend. Since then, there have been no new synopses or character profiles created by any of the other writers. Just a whole lot of banter about "what if" scenarios on the over-all plot.
I keep telling them - keep it simple. Build your story with logic and add in scenarios for shock value since this is a thriller. But if you go far off basic psychology, the audience will discredit the story, and won't want more. Create dilemmas for the characters, and put them into perilous situations that give them difficult choices. Not everything has to be sex, blood and horror for it to be tense, and erotic.
